The Hazard Bulldogs extended its season long winning streak by toppling the Powell County Pirates 15-0.
The Bulldogs took the lead early by ending the first ahead 3-0.
In the bottom of the second, Hazard’s Kyle Johnson connected with the ball allowing Andrew Ford to slide into home for another run for Hazard. Johnson then scored a run for Hazard after Andrew Baker connected with the ball for a hit.
The Bulldogs went into the third ahead 7-0.
In the bottom of the third, Baker connected with the ball again for a single allowing both Jarrett Napier and Kyle Johnson to make it home for Hazard.
The bases were loaded and the Pirates walked Garrett Miller, giving Hazard another run.
A wild pitch allowed Hazard’s Bailey Blair to score on the play.
The Bulldogs won the game 15-0 after four innings.
The victory brings Hazard’s record to 4-0 on the season. The next Hazard home game is scheduled for this Friday against Estill County. That game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
